The Adult Basic Education Program (ABE) provides employees with opportunities to develop better independent living skills. Participation is not mandatory and is strictly based on employee interests and needs.

The philosophy of the program is to teach information that is practical in nature and only information that is actually used in day-to-day living. This covers a wide variety of topics ranging from handwriting to money skills. Computers are available to enhance the learning experience and to help those employees interested in learning basic computer skills. Instruction is individualized and held in a small classroom setting.
